This report provides an analysis of HIQA’s monitoring work in healthcare services between January 2015 and December 2019.

It identifies areas of progress and further opportunities for improving the quality of care in internationally-recognised areas, such as infection prevention and control, medication safety, maternity services, and nutrition and hydration.
